ABOUT
WITNESS
WITNESS is an open source Integrated Assessment Model developed in the context of Linux Foundation former Open Source for Climate project. You can get more details on the model at Integrated Assessment Model Community (IAMC) website.
Linux Foundation Open Source for Climate integrated WITNESS tool within its Transition risk project, and this website is built to facilitate information exchange among WITNESS and Transition risk community.
Airbus initiated the development of SoSTrades and WITNESS in 2020 by transposing in Integrated Assessment Model domain their experience in complex system of systems simulation. It made SoSTrades simulation platform and WITNESS IAM framework open source in OS-Climate in 2021, and continued supporting the development until May 2024.
Capgemini joined OS-Climate in 2023 and was the main sponsor for the development of SoSTrades and WITNESS from June 2023 to March 2025.
